Joanne Willett
Joanne (45) grew up swimming, windsurfing and sailing on the Norfolk Broads. Whilst at University studying Physiotherapy she added Lifesaving to her water skills repertoire. She settled in Buntingford 18 years ago and is raising four children all of whom have learnt to swim at Ward Freman Swimming Pool, two of whom were still swimming there twice a week until the day it closed.
Joanne works as a private Physiotherapist in Buntingford and loves the unique nature of Buntingford, a town large enough to support the complete care and education of young people from 0-18years, host a high street full of independent businesses and yet still retain a village-like feel. Resulting, she says from being able to access all its amenities on foot.
As a Physiotherapist she knows the importance and benefits that water based activity can provide to people with life long conditions, acute and chronic injuries and the freedom of movement that it gives to people with complex physical needs.
She has an organised, positive, can do attitude and feels that she compliments the strategic skills of other trustees.
