Everyone was surprised and saddened when the Ward Freman swimming pool closed in December 2023. The community was quick to start a petition to try and keep the pool open and we received many supportive comments via a community survey.
The Ward Freman Community Pool Group charity are now seeking government funding from the Community Ownership Fund and needs to demonstrate the effect losing our swimming pool has had on our community and how much support there is to get the pool back open again.
