Trustees had a hybrid meeting today at Wallfields (EHDC Hertford Office) with Simon Newland and Emily White (Hertfordshire County Council) and Helen Standon (East Herts District Council). Alison Barr, Joanne Willett, Shelia White and Philip Wylie along with Sarah Hopewell (East Herts District Councillor Castle Ward, Executive member for wellbeing) presented the highlights from our business plan (submitted March 28th 2024) demonstrating how we propose to run the pool as a community asset. Attending on line were also trustees Linda Roberts and Frazer Willett.

Overall we think it was successful with both councils supportive of a community run pool. They provided some constructive feedback on how we need to strengthen our plan.
Next Steps:
We need to refine our business plan following todays meeting.
There was a condition survey last week and a specialist survey due 9th April 2024, these should give us a clear indication of work required and the cost. Once we know this, we can submit an expression of interest to the Community Ownership Fund (COF) to see if they would fund our project once HCC grant us a lease of the building.
