Refurb Week 12
We had another delivery of donated paint this week, thanks to the generosity of Brewers Decorator Centres Ltd. We’ve now got the means to decorate the internal doors and other wood work around the building, stamping our identity onto the place.

Paul from Aquatilers is back and as well as continuing on the pool bottom, has made a start on repairing the cracked tiles in the scum channel. A tricky job as they are irreplaceable! One slip of the angle grinder……!

He is casting new profiles in resin and spray painting them so the repair will be almost invisible.
H2O are moving on installing the pipe work and valves in the plant room for the pumps and filter. The room is definitely filling back up with equipment! Will it all fit?

The irrepressible Ted Waller was back on site this week assisting in using the Brewers paint to undercoat the internal doors ready for the top coat to be applied during our volunteer day on Sunday 23rd. Not only that but he (being in possession of the correct shaped tool) was able to make a start in removing the steel grilles from the windows and doors. Another job for Sunday being the removal of the rust stains from them. Together with the new sign which arrives also on Sunday, the place will really start to take on our identity.

On that note we began interviews for the General Manager position this week too. This is quite a seminal moment as we the Trustees, who have had this project close to our hearts for the past couple of years are about to hand over the reins to someone else to grow the business into the success we all know it can be. The successful candidate will be selected by the end of August.
