As planned, work on the pool hall began this week. The guys from Blackrock Scaffolding arrived and under the close supervision of Bobetta, speedily took down the temporary handrails around the pool allowing our new friends Paul and Simon from Aqua Tilers Ltd to make a start.

Pool side clear

The first task was an acid treatment of both the pool side and entire pool surface. No Viakal for these lads but a potent acid solution and jet washers. A couple of goes over and the scaled pool edge tiles went from grey back to black. They then undertook a painstaking survey of the entire area, noting all those tiles that need to be replaced. As luck would have it, found languishing in the plant room was a supply of spare tiles, both pool surface and pool side including the drainage channels which was a bonus! 

Just in time for lunch!

Local farmer Ian Baron has come up trumps and will be assisting Dr Heating with a machine to dig the trench for the water main connection. 

We had catch up meetings with both Dave from Dr Heating and Gareth White Electrical talking over priorities and ideas for their individual specialisms and behind the scenes we’re looking into updates to the website to cater for bookings.
