Refurb Week 4
No new firms or areas of work to report on this week. The great work already commenced by JCS fabricating the boiler pipework and Aqua Tilers in the pool is continuing. (200 tiles replaced and a few metres of expansion joint removed so far!) The good news being that we discovered many spare tiles of all shapes and styles in the plant room whilst tidying up, so Paul and Simon will be able to replace them almost invisibly!

We have now got a firm plan for undertaking the work to connect the water main to the building (image on the right below). Thanks go to local farmer Ian Baron who will be digging the trench and Dr Heating sorting all the pipework. The image on the left below shows the shower water heat exchanger which proved to be too small, as we who used the showers before knew only too well! This will be either beefed up or replaced.
Still to come: Once the pool circulation pumps have been manufactured and delivered, work can begin on the pipework for that!
We will be hosting a DIY event on 12th July at the pool to cover some of the jobs that require a bit of expertise such as painting, wooden facia replacement, radiator removal and drain rodding!
