The major event this week is that our friends at Dr Heating have, as anticipated, completed the works necessary for the new water main connection to be made  They were ably assisted by superstar farmers Ian and Steve (who drove the digger) who between haymaking and harvesting, dug the necessary trench and donated the required 50mm pipe.

That turned out to be the easy part as Dr Heating’s Dave and Ian found out trying to drill through the foundations! Proof if any were necessary perhaps that the building is in no danger of subsiding.

Even more gratifying is that Affinity Water have confirmed that they are happy that the work is satisfactory from a regulatory standpoint and they will now schedule the work on their side to be done. Hopefully this will be the first week of September.

Back inside the plant room, Ross from JCS is in his element installing new pumps and valves for the boilers.

Meanwhile, Bobetta has been assessing the gas meters and getting the readings in order for us to shop around for the best deal from a new supplier.
