More great progress to mention this week! Internal painting continued with volunteers John and Isobel Massey returning with Ted Waller, working on smartening up the current accessible changing room area. We also began to remove the display cabinet in preparation for builder Will Brownless to start taking down the internal wall next week in order to create the cafe counter area.

Our thanks go to local firm Westmill Landscapes for their expertise in re-laying the paving slabs outside the plant room which were lifted in order to lay the water main pipe some weeks ago. 

On which subject, we are happy to report that after a bit of confusion over the potential closure of the footpath and obtaining the necessary authority to do so, this week ended with Affinity Water completing the necessary works to establish an independent water supply to the building. This is of course a major step forward (water being quite crucial for a swimming pool of course!) and our thanks go to everyone who once again dug deep (sorry) and contributed to the crowdfunder for this purpose! We now need to arrange a water retailer and get the necessary waste water licence ready to begin operations. We are most grateful for the support of Freman College who allowed us the use of their supply in the interim.   

Speaking of connections, we also had Gigaclear on site the same day to connect the telephone and WiFi. The immediate benefit of this is that we now have the ability to view and control the CCTV remotely!
